L’Étape Dorée: A New Era in Saint-Genis-Laval

In March 2025, L’Étape Dorée left the peaceful harmony of L'Arbresle to settle in the heart of Saint-Genis-Laval, in a larger and brighter setting. This change is not just a simple move; it is an evolution, a relentless pursuit of perfection, a desire to offer you, dear guests, an ever more refined gastronomic experience.

Why this change?

In this larger space, our kitchen unfolds with elegance. The new brigade enjoys the freedom to work in optimal conditions. Every technique, every cooking method, is thus enhanced.
The dining room also expands, offering each guest a moment of quiet pleasure and an atmosphere conducive to contemplation, where every dish becomes a sensory journey.

A garden in the making

Our private garden is becoming an experimental ground, where nature reclaims its place. Before we see fresh herbs and vegetables grow, we must first prepare the soil, nourish it, and restore its richness. This groundwork is essential and will take time. If everything goes as planned, we hope to start cultivating our first products in about a year.
Our food waste will transform, in a virtuous cycle, to nourish the land. We move forward at our own pace to ensure sustainable and meaningful growth.
Thus, we give back to nature what it offers us, creating the perfect balance between the earth and the plate.

Born in Lyon, Constant Delouis has always had a strong connection with the region and its gastronomy. A former accountant, he decided to follow his passion by opening his own restaurant, with the ambition of offering an authentic and warm experience. For the past year, he has been fully dedicated to making L’Étape Dorée a welcoming place that guests love to return to.
